I don’t know why but that song’s been in my head all morning. So naturally, I revised it for this post.
Amazon, I am beyond impressed.
I can’t remember when a package made me this excited. (Sorry Griddle/Grill Pan, you just don’t measure up.)
Not only am I beyond impressed that the Kindle was ordered Wednesday afternoon and delivered less than 24 hours later using their Standard, FREE shipping (it sat in my office’s mailroom over night – torture at it’s finest. I felt like a kid waiting for Santa to come on Christmas morning) it is SO easy to use!
I’m blown away.
It came pre-registered to my Amazon account and in less than 5 minutes I was connected to a wireless network and had my first book downloaded.
I had read an excerpt of this book in Vanity Fair a few mos back (excerpt for them is more like 25 pages) and I LOVED it, and couldn’t put it down. I knew I’d be getting the Kindle (or the device from the Heavens as I will be referring to it) so I’ve made myself wait.
But now Rob Lowe book, you are mine.
I can even make the text size larger to read while I’m on the treadmill this afternoon!
I already have a list of books that I want to read after this one:
- Those Guys Have All the Fun: Inside the World of ESPN
- The Paris Wife: A Novel
- Kara Goucher’s Running for Women – From First Steps to Marathons
- Bossy Pants
I can’t wait!
Do you have an e-reader? (Kindle, iPad, Nook, what have you)
What’s your favorite thing about it?
What is the last book you’ve read that you loved?
