Foggy City by the Bay

Well well well… look who decided to show up this morning.

The perfect amount of coffee, brewed on the very first try.

(Yes that is a reindeer with its tail plugged into an outlet thus lighting up his red nose. It’s Christmas year-round in our apartment and I LOVE it. Just ask my pine scented candle from Williams Sonoma.)

I think something may have been getting worried that Peet’s Iced Coffee’s would quickly replace its tempermental self and decided to get its act together.

After returning to the land of the living (6.5 hours of sleep I blame you. I require at least 8 to function!) I knew nothing would wake me up like a creamy green(ish) smoothie!

Into the mix went:

  • 1.5 C 1% Milk
  • Frozen Strawberries
  • Frozen Blueberries
  • 2 handfuls of Spinach
  • Packet of Teras Whey Organic Bourbon Vanilla protein powder (I like this even better than the chocolate!)

The smoothie was delicious, filling, fresh, and exactly what I needed after waking up tired and stuffing my face with tortilla chips and guacamole last night!

It was actually pathetic because even picking up the blender hurt. I am SO SORE from Pilates and TRX it makes me wonder if I’ve actually ever worked these muscles that currently feel like they’ve never been moved in my entire 26.5 years of living. I’ll take that as a sign it’s working (yes, after 1 class of each, it could be!)

When I looked out the window this morning before deciding what to wear (something I’ve started doing after I got caught twice in the rain without an umbrella or any form of sheltering clothing) it looked like this outside:

This may be a (very) slight exaggeration from what it actually looked like but compared to the week of sun and blue skies we’ve had… it may as well have looked like this!

Figuring the reality of SF summer had finally set in and our little fantasy vacation into 80 degree weather was over I layered up, even put my sunglasses away.

Then the bus arrived in the Financial District.

Really?!

San Francisco I almost lost my faith in your ability to produce warm weather for more than 5 days straight. I will never doubt you again for at least a week.

Off to get some work done but I’ll leave you with this completely realistic picture of a one Heidi Klum jogging (and looking like I do on my runs.)

What, you don’t look like that while you work out? πŸ˜‰

Stay tuned this evening – in honor of my 25th blog post tonight (!!!) it’s GIVE AWAY time!
